Central to the Squids 3196 Grinder Tool Tethering Kit is a Squids 3110F(x) Tool Lanyard. This lanyard's patented design prevents falling objects while absorbing any dynamic energy that might be transmitted through the lanyard's length to reduce any torque that your body, or anchor point, might experience if a drop occurs. By reducing this shock load, this tested and approved design prevents the tool from pulling the user down with it, effectively protecting everyone involved, both those above and those below. Durable, low-profile 1680 denier polyester, elastic-blend webbing with high-strength, three-ply nylon stitching on both ends ensures reliable, lighter-weight performance, and the lanyard's single-length format eliminates the potential for the weak points commonly seen on multi-component lanyard alternatives. Anodized, aluminum-alloy carabiners on both ends feature captive-eye attachment points to help the user better predict the direction of loads to minimize the potential for the lanyard hooking into the carabiners' gates as well as the potential for other related, dangerous lanyard issues. The included Squids 3797 Grinder Tool Trap Bracket accommodates one corded or cordless grinder as well as most similarly-designed power tools, and its corrosion-resistant, stainless-steel construction and built-in, dual-bolt, lock-washer tool-connection point ensures secure, durable performance. Once attached, the bracket keeps the lanyard away from the grinder’s wheel providing extra security while minimizing inconvenient workplace hassles. Kit features a maximum tethering capacity: 8 lb.
